Audience match

Are the intended audiences similar or aligned in terms of expertise, industry and user needs?

Language match

Are the pages in the same language?

Surrounding text

How relevant is the text immediately surrounding the link to the content?

Content freshness

How fresh/recently updated the content is

Sentiment alignment

Do both pages align with overall sentiment?

Purpose intent

Does the linking page's purpose align with the target page?

URL slug relevance

Is the URL slug human-readable, on-topic, and aligned with the subject of the linked page?

Link placement quality

Evaluation of where the link appears on the page (with preference given to appearing in the first 50% of the page)

How relevant is the anchor text of the link to the topic?

All signals are deterministic and API-based; Gemini is used only for explanation.
