THE BRIEF:


In October 2022, the BesteOnlineCasinos team tasked us with gaining links from high authority publications in order to increase their Domain Rating and assist with Organic Ranking.

As with the best campaigns from any digital PR agency, our work with BesteOnlineCasinos was centered around one core aim—to gain as much high-domain, industry-relevant coverage as possible.

Campaigns for clients that operate in a niche industry are one of our specialties, so we were well placed to secure high domain German coverage for a client within the gambling industry.

We targeted German audiences as well as international publications to increase the reach of our campaign and raise brand awareness.

OUR STRATEGY:


In order to maximise our chance of success, we pitched a multi-campaign strategy that would incorporate multiple data points to ensure media hooks for both German and global audiences. Given the hesitancy from certain publications to link to Gambling domains, our strategy looked to widen the scope of relevancy to the client, taking into account topics such as price, money, earnings or chance within our ideation sessions.

Combining these themes with in-depth data was key in giving journalists a reason to link back to the client, by presenting them with a fully rounded and well researched story for their readership.

To ensure we hit the key principles of a successful Digital PR campaign of relevancy, media hooks and reach, our team of data scientists collated numerous relevant and authoritative data sets to analyse and drew upon a wide range of tools to create truly unique and reliable findings.

Through multiple campaigns covering elements ranging from the cost of being vegan across Europe, the gender pay gap in e-sports and the luckiest places in Europe, we were able to pitch to a wide variety of German and global publications over the course of 6 months.

Mapped: the 10 most affordable European cities to be vegan, according to data

The cost, availability and amenities of Vegan Restaurants was analysed for each European City. From this an index was created to determine which European city is cheapest to follow a vegan diet, including a separate German dataset. Targets included national press, regional press, sustainability, food, lifestyle and others.

Data reveals the gender pay gap in Esports

Data was gathered on Esports earnings for over 21,000 players over the time period of 1998-2022 to determine the country with the largest gender pay gap in Esport. The findings were collated into an index ranking and a supporting graphic and asset was created.

RESULTS:


Our strategy of exploring a wide range of topics that still held topical relevancy to the BesteOnlineCasinos brand, through a number of different campaigns enabled us to deliver 70 links from high authority publications, with 87% of results being followed links.

The links earned through our Digital PR campaign work showed a positive impact on the domain, with the Domain Rating, Organic Search Positions and Citation Flow all showing increases.

Utilising AhRefs, we also saw a consistent increase in the total referring domain count and an acceleration in link velocity after we started working on the domain in October 2022.
